For more than sixty years the Walkley Foundation has championed great journalism and the role it plays in ensuring a fair and democratic society. “I love journalism. I started out as a bright young journo at 18 and journalism has been a glorious thread running throughout my career. Quality journalism helps create the kind of community I want to live in. Let’s have more great news coverage, brilliant analysis and inspirational investigations. Particularly now. That’s why I’ve made a bequest to the Walkley Foundation.”
